Fabrianne Peterson Nampinjimpa
Fabrianne Peterson Nampitjinpa was born in 1965 in Papunya located 240 km North West of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. Coming from an artistic family, she lived in Walungurru where she painted alongside her mother-in-law, the well respected and world renowned indigenous artist Narpula Scobie Napurrula. Although Fabrianne learned many techniques from her sister Sandra Turner in Mt Leibig, she explains that her Dreaming's come down to her from her Grandfather on her Mother’s side of the family. She worked alongside her family members at the Papunya Tula Art Centre at the same time she worked as a teachers assistant. Fabrianne depicts the Willy Wagtail Dreaming stories of the Mt Liebig area, Bush Potato, Witchetty Grub with Snake (Kunatjarri), Honey Ant and 'Waingunu' (Bush Damper) Dreamings
