Belinda was born in Alice Spings in 1986. She is the daughter of Sammy Pitjara and Margaret Golder. She comes form a Large family of Artist Angelina Ngale Polly Ngale Emily and Kuddijit Kngwarreye. She is the Grandaughter of Old Henry Pitjara. Her sister Janet Golder Kngwarreye is also a very well known artist. She lives in Utopia with her family. Belinda paints bush plum dreaming her Aunties Angelina and Polly Ngale are senior custodians of the Bush Plum Dreaming.
The Bush Plum is a shrub found in the Central Desert. It has small white flowers and small purple to black berries that can be eaten when ripe but posionous if eaten before they ripe.The Bush Plum is rich in vitamin C and can be eaten raw or cooked.
