: Angelo Burgoyne Judda
: Angelo was born at Cummins in South Australia. He began painting in 2000 painting his narrative images of family Dreaming stories, and then progressed to his present strong contemporary iconic imagery of Waterholes and Sandhills, Kangaroo, Goanna and Men Hunting all referring to the Pitjantjatjara lands.
Angelo belongs to the Kokatha tribe on the Northern Territory and South Australia border. He is a descendant from a lineage of the Stolen Generation ancestry, and feels a strong connection with this background and with his traditional homelands. Angelo now lives in Alice Springs with his artist wife Marie Naparulla Laruffa and children. Judda is an emerging artist.
